THE GREAT INHERITANCE

Eze.44:28 And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession. Inheritance is a thing that is inherited by someone because they are successors of deceased person. It is a bequeathment a thing not worked for, it comes into the possession of such beneficiary for their enjoyment for as long as they choose to hold on to it. Many people have inherited stuffs that have either made or destroyed their lives, for example Isaac inherited his father Abraham and he progressed from their in blessings, on the other hand, the children of Gehazi inherited leprosy from him, just as the children of Ham inherited the curse placed on their father by their grandfather Noah. Regardless, of the bequeathment of our progenitors, those of us who belong to Christ have a much more tangible and enduring inheritance – God. Gen.15:1 After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward. One can inherit a lot of good things, money, houses, land etc. from one’s parent , and make a good living off that, but if a man does not have the Lord God as his inheritance such individual will only live life chasing shadows and ultimately be a loser, for what shall it profit a man to gain the entire world have lose his very soul? Abraham, after the rescue of Lot could have taken the spoil of war and become even richer, the king even encouraged him to take as much as he liked, but Abraham refused, because he understood that the Lord who called him is able to supply all his needs. The Lord indeed assured him thereafter, that He will be his Reward, that is his personal inheritance. Matt.6:38 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. Whilst it is good to work hard at rising in our area of professional calling and attain comfortable life, a constant reminder that all these thing are easily attainable when we fully aligns our lives with the Lord plan and way of doing things, with particular focus on where eternity will be spent. It is very possible to be rich and prosperous in all things of the world without God being our inheritance, however, eternity cannot be in bliss if God is not our inheritance. Seeking God with all we have until He is our inheritance, by being totally sold out to Him is the only sure way of enjoying both here and now and in eternity. There is no other inheritance that can compare with Him, and He has offered to be the inheritance of those who prioritize their relationship with Him above all else. It is Him we move, live and have the totality of our being, that is, without Him, our live will be like a ship that has lost its engine, navigational system and anchor which is being bounced around by the toss of the waves. Heb.6:19 This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells]. There is no inheritance that can compare to the Lord being your inheritance, are numbered among those who have God as their inheritance?

ARE YOU AVAILABLE?

Ez.30:22 I searched for someone who would repair the wall, one who fills the gap, an intercessor to cryout for mercy, but I found no one. There was no one found who would keep my justice fromdestroying the nation.Whereas the wages of sin is death, the gift of God however, is eternal life, and that informed Hisgiving the whole world His only Son so that as many as believed Him will not only have eternallife, they will become the sons of God. In our present world, it is evident that the fear and love ofGod is few and far between, with many openly going against God’s instruction in the use of theirbodies, or outrightly challenging the existence of God Himself. Some even argue that there is noabsolute truth, if so then, Jesus is not the Truth but one of the many truths there are. Manynations of the world are struggling under the weight of sin, and are indeed on the path to bewiped out through the wrath of God, but because He is a loving God He is stalling waiting forsomeone to plead for the nations not to be dealt with in accordance to what their reward shouldbe, He said He is has no pleasure in the destruction of sinners, rather that the sinner repentsand forsake his sinful ways.Ez.33:11“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; butthat the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will yedie, O house of Israel?”He is waiting for that person who will arise and stand before Him to plead for mercy concerningthose nations, people, communities and families.Ex.32:10-11“Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consumethem: and I will make of thee a great nation. And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said,LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of theland of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?”Just as Moses stood before God and made Him change His intended consumption of the peoplein the wilderness, God is looking out for such a man at this time as well. The case of our worldtoday is far worse than that of Sodom and Gomorrah, whose destruction was delayed byAbraham as he stood before God negotiating for the land. Yes, indeed there are some childrenof God standing and holding the hands of God from rewarding us with what we as humans trulydeserve. Will you rise up and join the those who are standing before the Lord to avert His wrath upon theearth? To do that however, there are conditions that you must fulfil , for example , He will nothear the prayer/supplication of a sinner Is.59:1-2 is quite clear on that, as isPs. 24:3-4“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hathclean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”The good news however is that, regardless of who and what you were, if only you will come toJesus, He said in John 6:37But everyone my Father has given to me, they will come. And all who come to me, I willembrace and will never turn them away.God needs you and the world needs you to stand before God and deliver the world from thewrath that is coming upon it, will you make yourself available for this noble cause? You have tostart by making your ways right with God.

NOT ACCORDING TO THEIR WORDS.

Lam.3:37 “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, When the Lord commandeth it not?” The final say over any situation does not lie with any man, regardless of their power, position or influence. Therefore, when men or situation makes their final decision concerning you, although they have the right to their opinions or word, the good news for you, a child of God is that such decision is not binding on you neither depicts what will be your lot. Ps.2:1-4, “Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.” Agents of Satan may have made up their minds concerning you and planned evil for you, the Word of God says the Lord will make jest of them – Hallelujah! A group of disgruntled elements decided and planned to execute Daniel, they got the king to write and seal a decree aimed at Daniel, the One who is in Heaven simply laughed at them, and at the end of the day, they and their families ended up in the cauldron they set up for Daniel. Is.43:3-4 “For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.” Have men written you off, God says you are precious to Him, and therefore, will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that you will say like Sarah, the Lord has made me to laugh. Have men concluded that you are not qualified for honour, like David, the one sent to pick the next big news in town, will not sit until you are brought into that honour IJN. Maybe, they have even said it is too late for you, like Lazarus, you are coming out alive and better than even the very best. The brothers of Joseph thought in their minds, that great thing will not happen in his life, so they sold him to slavery. Potipher thought Joseph was expendable, so he abandoned him in prison, the baker thought, of what use can you be to me, so he forgot him even though he promised to bring up his issue before the king. Everyone turned their backs at him, but one day, the One that has the final say and never forgets His own, troubled the greatest individual on earth and confused all his advisers, then the forgotten Joseph was lifted from the prison into the palace. Beloved of God, the Word for you today is that no man has the final say concerning your life, only God. Therefore, bearing in mind Is.59:1-2, you must shun every attempt of Satan and his demons to tempt you into sinning, because it is the only thing that can cause Him to abandon you. Or if you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus, then, God is not obliged to look after you, indeed, if anything, you belong to Satan. Hab.1:13 “You are of purer eyes than to behold evil and cannot look [inactively] upon injustice……” Your life and future does not depend on what anyone says, God is the One that has the final say, give your all to Him, love Him and serve Him wholeheartedly, and He will bring you to His own predetermined glorious end for you.

YOU ARE YOU, FOR A REASON.

Ps.139:14 I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! The scriptures says God knows all His works from the beginning of creation, meaning that you are not an afterthought or an imitation of someone else, this fact is further corroborated when science discovered that no two people have the same finger prints, not even Siamese twins! I need you to understand that whatever your situation is, it is intended to bring glory to the Lord, and you are created to fulfil that purpose, you are so unique that nobody else can do what you were designed to be exactly. Your make up and composition, whether your height, weight, skin colour, dentition etc was specially fashioned by God the meet a need on earth, and the earlier you start seeing in you that you are wonderfully made in a breathtaking way, the quicker your joy will overflow. It is commonplace today to find people beaching their skin, some others doing boobs and butt jobs etc, all these smacks off ignorance and inferiority complex including calling into question how the Maker moulded you. I wonder if Zachaeus was a tall man, if he would have climbed a tree so that he could see Jesus, and which will ultimately bring salvation into his house, and a restitution to those he had cheated. Many people have lost their lives because they wanted to change what they look like, some others now have foul body odour , yet some have to keep wearing heavy make up all because they tried to artificially make themselves better. So you are not very good academically, it is not the end of the world, it could just be that you are aa artistically gifted fellow, develop your skill, don’t go cheating in an examination simply because everyone else is a graduate. Incredibly, I have seen artisans having better lives that Professors, even earning way more than them. There was a world famous musician who thought he was not good enough and spent fortune of making himself what he wanted, soon enough the nose he made began to fall off and he died way before he ought to, because he had no joy neither peace, regardless of his great fame. You are made the way you are for a reason, celebrate yourself and the goodness of God in your life, and you will be amazed at what you will become ultimately. Stop trying to be someone or something else to your composition as designed by the Maker, you are unique and created to with good thoughts and plans and a glorious end ahead of you. No animal seeks to be like another, why would you seek to go even lower than an animal?

POWER OF POSITIVITY

Phil.4:13 “I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfil His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]” Being positive or otherwise in life is a choice that individuals to make, while one fellow may see a glass of water as half empty another person may see it as half full. It is mindset. In Numbers 13:25-33, while 2 people were confident that they will be victorious against the occupiers of the promised land, Ten people could only consider themselves as grasshoppers going to battle against giants. They already lost the battle even before it started. Many people have stalled their own progress by their “it is not possible” mindset. An intriguing story in the power of positivity is written in1 Sam.17, David a shepherd boy went to battle against Goliath, whom all the host of Israel were afraid of despite their military training. While they concluded that they will die if they went to battle against the giant, David said in 1Sam 17:32 and 46 ““Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!” Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!” Although all the odds were stacked against him, he was confident that with God on his side, it was impossible for him to lose the battle. Are a child of God, how does your mind work, do you see problems in situations or opportunity to make a difference? Job was a man with tonne load of problem, yet he never despaired, he had implicit trust in the Lord with a frightening positive disposition, he said in Job.19:25 “But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.” He was sure of the Lord whom he served, do you as a Christian have such confidence in Jesus Christ? The woman with the issue of blood came to Him in confidence after trying everything else and all she had in the process. She said all I need to do is touch the tip of his clothe, she did not come for prayer or fasting, she only came in faith and her work – the effort/touching; and she went home justified. Being positive is beyond positive confession, it is actually living with a positive attitude and mindset, say it and mean it. As we run this race to eternity, being positive will keep us walking on water and treading on serpents, any doubting or misgiving and we will sink like Peter who allowed the negatives he saw around him made him to start thinking negatively. It is not a surprise therefore, that only those two who have the positive mind amongst the Twelve , who got into the promised land and enjoyed its flowing milk and honey. Be positive always!

DOUBTERS DON’T GO FAR.

Num.14:36-38 An individual that will go far in any sphere of endeavour must earnestly have faith in whatever they lay their hands on, they must be ready to have the David kind o courage to face the Goliath in his/her life. A doubter according to Jam.1:8 is an unstable entity, double minded, a sceptic who questions everything not with a view to learning rather from the prism of of faithlessness. Everyone that broke the glass ceiling had one thing in common….. Courage to conquer, they dared to be different and today they are celebrated. Talk about the Wright Brothers ( Airplane), Thomas Edison ( light bulbs), Karl Benz (Cars) all these men displayed absolute faith in their resolve to finding solutions to their present day realities, and today we all enjoy their inventions. It takes courage to stand out, to do thing differently, consider the story of Queen Esther ( Est.4:15-16), who held her life in her hands for the sake of God’s people, she believed God for deliverance and there was a performance (Luke 1:45). Doubting is synonymous with failure. It stalls a fellow’s movement to glory, it turns the individual to a laughing stock and a reject by God. Because he is double minded, he cannot receive anything from God. Peter could not go far walking on water because of fear induced doubt, do not allow doubt to cut your testimony short. To go far in life and achieve success in all you desire you need to kill and bury every doubt. Doubt is powered by an evil spiritual force and you need to deal with it, failing which fulfilling your destiny will be a mirage. To conquer doubt you must start by dealing with your low self-esteem, long standing fears, anxieties, criticisms and gaslighting rhetorics. They may have determined your yesterday, they however have no space in your today nor future, you must banish them to the abyss before you can move ahead. Start living a life full of confidence believing Phil.4:13, let that be your attitude going forward. You are destined for the very top, all you need is the right attitude and mindset and holding on to Jesus the Author of all victories. Beloved, you need to understand and live by the right attitudes. The right attitude is what takes you to the top. Everyone, including you can get to the top. It’s just a matter of mindset. Stop doubting, it is Satan’s trick to stop your Divine elevation… don’t give him the joy.

GOD’S FAIR DECISION

2Thes. 1:6 “[It is a fair decision] since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,” The bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God always delivers him from all of it. The Lord is big on equity and fairness, never giving the righteous up for the wickedness of the wicked. He defends him with all might and protection. As long as a man walks in righteousness, God is obliged to fight in his corner. In the story of the Israelites during their days of Egyptian oppression, God said in Ex. 3:9 “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.” Ex3:20 “And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.” God saw and came with a strong hand to deliver Israel from Egypt. In the process, Egypt was economically ruined, militarily destroyed and societally damaged, the power, wealth and clout of the great nation was completely drained to the point that it became a caricature of itself. It is God’s intention to make the life of His beloved peaceful and therefore will go all the way to trouble those that troubles His own. But to those who are not on His side, God is not obliged to defend them. Job 1:9-10 “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” God considers it as fair and proper to put an end to the life of Herman for Mordecai to be preserved and promoted. Are you on the side of God, consider that oppression as a means to achieving total freedom from the oppressor through the help of God because you are His child. Is.3:10-11 “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” The righteous is God’s property, while the unrighteous is an abomination to Him.
