2Thes. 1:6
“[It is a fair decision] since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,” The bible says many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God always delivers him from all of it. The Lord is big on equity and fairness, never giving the righteous up for the wickedness of the wicked. He defends him with all might and protection. As long as a man walks in righteousness, God is obliged to fight in his corner. In the story of the Israelites during their days of Egyptian oppression, God said in Ex. 3:9 “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.”
Ex3:20 “And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.” God saw and came with a strong hand to deliver Israel from Egypt. In the process, Egypt was economically ruined, militarily destroyed and societally damaged, the power, wealth and clout of the great nation was completely drained to the point that it became a caricature of itself. It is God’s intention to make the life of His beloved peaceful and therefore will go all the way to trouble those that troubles His own. But to those who are not on His side, God is not obliged to defend them.
Job 1:9-10 “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” God considers it as fair and proper to put an end to the life of Herman for Mordecai to be preserved and promoted. Are you on the side of God, consider that oppression as a means to achieving total freedom from the oppressor through the help of God because you are His child. Is.3:10-11 “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” The righteous is God’s property, while the unrighteous is an abomination to Him.
