Jer. 33:3
“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in
and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have
knowledge of and understand).”
The place of communication in every sphere of life cannot be overstated, whether it is marriage, friendship, business, ministry and especially with God. It it incumbent on each one to express their views, feelings, understanding and requests, leaving it to chance, supposing the other party would somehow magically know or understand our thoughts is a panacea for a strained relationships. God, the only wise and from Whom nothing is hidden specifically said to call on Him, then He will answer, conversely, failure to call on Him, will result in His not answering. When God in His wisdom gave man (Adam), what he did not ask Him for ( Eve), Adam turned around to blame God for the gift of his wife. So, when Bartimaeus ( Mark 10:46-52), approached Jesus for sight, although Jesus saw he was a blind fellow, He did not straightaway restored his sight, but asked him what he wanted Jesus to do for him.
A lot of relationships especially marriage have hit the rock simply because people failed to communicate, or express their feelings or expectations, assuming the other party should figure things out, unfortunately, that is not how things should be. It is said that a closed mouth is a closed destiny, failure to ask or communicate will end up in frustration or disappointment and usually, without cause.
Although Esther was a beautiful lady, her uncle and herself did not leave her becoming the Queen to chance, they were intention and deliberately determined to see her become, and she did become, because they took time to cross the T’s and dot the I’s. Preparation always comes before manifestation, failure to plan is said to be planning to fail. Never again leave anything to chance, both with God and man, remember that everyone is busy and have their passion as well, so instead of you sulking and getting angry at not getting what you believe is your entitlement, simply ask or raise the issue, and you will get or at least get an understanding around why what you thought was important is actually not.
Matt. 7:7
“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.”
We live in a fast paced world, instead of thinking it will happen by some miracle, just simply ask and you will receive. Don’t leave anything to chance and time, it may be costly.
